Balsoon Lodge

Cheese, wine, beer, crackers and fruit will be provided as part of your welcome to Balsoon Lodge. If you prefer a non-alcoholic welcome please ensure you advise your host.

Boots will also provide a large loaf of homemade soda bread, butter and a fruit preserve or some local raw honey for your first morning at the Lodge. Free range eggs are also available from out 7 Rhode Island Reds but of course only when they’re in the on form which is most of the time!

Location

For all the peace and escapism to be found at Balsoon Lodge, this guesthouse is very centrally located, just off the M3 – only 40 minutes from both Dublin City and Dublin Airport.

Your Host

The host at Balsoon Lodge is Geraldine Doherty, or Boots, as she is better known.

Boots has spent months readying the Lodge for guests. Having trained and worked for years as a graphic designer and creative director, Boots’ talent for impactful design is evident in the uniquely captivating space she has created within its walls. Embellished to the nth degree, the Lodge, an eclectic and lavish countryside retreat, reflects the exuberant tastes of its chief architect.

Boots and her husband Ricahrd will ensure you have an exquisite experience at their Lodge providing you with every assistance to ensure a memorable experience. Boots, also a fabulous cook and dedicated gardener, lives nearby with her family and will always be available to assist guests and ensure their stay in the Lodge is as enjoyable as possible.
